Frequently Asked Questions

Salsa Cruise STRONGLY RECOMMENDS THAT ALL OF OUR GUESTS TRAVEL WITH A PASSPORT.

Having a valid passport will help to expedite your debarkation experience as delays may occur upon return to the United States for those without one. Additionally, this will enable guests to fly from the U.S. to meet their ship at a foreign port should they miss their scheduled port of embarkation and allow guests who must disembark the ship before their cruise ends due to an emergency to fly back to the U.S. without significant delays and complications.

However passports are not required. Guests are able to sail with an original or certified copy of their birth certificate and a valid government issued photo ID.

Cabinmates

If you know who will be traveling with you prior to making your reservation, please have each person register for an SalsaCruise Reservations account before you reserve your cabin. You will then be able to easily add them to the cabin at the time you make your reservation online. If you don’t know who your cabinmate(s) will be prior to making a reservation, no problem, you can add them at a later time.

Solo Travelers

If you are a solo traveler and would like to find other solo-travelers to share a cabin there are a couple of options available to you:

Shared space

The Shipmate share Program allows solo guests to reserve a double, triple or quad occupancy cabin for only one cabin fare (plus one set of taxes and fees).

Once you’ve enrolled in the program by making your reservation, SalsaCruise will go to work locating and matching you with a guest(s) of the same age group and gender. Within 30 days of sailing, SalsaCruise will provide you and your shipmate(s) with your cabin number and shipmate(s) name(s).

If you locate your own cabinmate(s), simply notify us and we’ll remove your name from the Program.

If you have any additional special requests, please email reservations@salascruise.com.

Please Note: SalsaCruise cannot guaranty special requests, but we will do our best to accommodate them, if possible. Your decision to accept a shipmate match is at your own risk. SalsaCruise and Carnival Cruise Lines are not responsible or liable for any and all claims or cause of action arising out of or in connection with your selection of a matched ship mate for the Cruise, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from such request or selection.
